Letter from the Founder:

Hello, my name is Vera Castillo, and I’m proud to introduce myself as the founder of the Waco Women Empowerment Network. Established in 2020, our group was created with a vision to uplift and support women in our community—not only through empowerment, but by building strong sisterhoods, providing critical resources and assistance, and helping women-owned small businesses thrive.

I’m honored to share that we are officially partnering with the Cen-Tex Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and we are excited to continue our work alongside this incredible network of leaders and changemakers. Our mission aligns closely with the Chamber’s commitment to community, entrepreneurship, and cultural connection.

In addition to leading Waco Women Empowerment Network, I also serve as:

  • A proud Ambassador for the Cen-Tex Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
  • An Ambassador for Esther’s Closet, a program of the Cen-Tex African American Chamber of Commerce
  • An Ambassador for Hispanic Leader Network
  • A Member of the Junior League of Waco
  • A graduate of Leadership Plenty Institute, Class 14

These experiences have shaped my passion for community engagement and leadership, and I am thrilled to bring that same energy and dedication into our collaboration with the Chamber.

We have some exciting plans ahead, and I look forward to sharing them and contributing to the incredible work being done through this partnership!

Thank you for welcoming us!

Warm regards,

Vera Castillo
